Arriving in the fall of 2012, Sandra Palmer, formerly from the state of Oregon recently opened a new business “Key Up Piano Studio” in Tallahassee, Florida.   While in Oregon she owned and operated Roseburg Piano Academy and was on faculty at Umpqua Community College Music Department.  Sandra is nationally certified and has over 35 years of teaching experience. 


She holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Eastern Washington University and Central Washington University.  Sandra had held offices at local, district and state levels in Washington and Oregon participating in WSMTA and OMTA conferences, master classes and competitions. 

 

Sandra successfully instituted the first Washington State Sonata – Sonatina Piano Festival held yearly since 1999 at Central Washington University. 

 

From 2010-2012, as key project director, Sandra introduced the first statewide Sonata - Sonatina Festival in Oregon.  The program was funded through grants generated from the Oregon Community Foundation.   

 

Sandra’s students continue to be acknowledged at international, national, state and local contests, festivals and competitions.  She is a sought after judge, adjudicating for American College of Musicians, festivals and master classes.
